What massage is right for you?

There are many different types of massages from aromatherapy massage to swedish massage. It can be quite confusing to find out what type of massage is ideal for you.


Here is a little guide to help you find out what type of massage is ideal for you.




Swedish Massage


Swedish massage or sometimes called body massage. This is the basic technique of massage it will use a effleurage, petrissage and kneading techniques. This type of massage uses firm pressure throughout the treatments.



Aromatherapy Massage


Aromatherapy massage is using 3 to 4 essentials oils which blend together to create a specific blend for you. A discussion of the range of essential oils throughout the consultation by the therapist to create the blend. This massage uses effleurage, petrissage and lymphatic techniques. This type of massage uses slow massage techniques and gentle pressure throughout the treatment.



Hot Stone Massage


Hot stone massage is using warm stones to massage the body. As the stones are very warm this helps relax and release the tension in the muscle. We use gentle and flowing techniques while using stones to massage the places over the areas where you need more attention. This type of treatment is gentle and warm.



Indian Head Massage


Indian head massage is ideal for the first time you have a massage as this can be done over the clothes. Indian head treatment includes shoulders, neck, head and facial pressure points as this main area is where we hold our tension and stress. This treatment can be done sitting in a chair or lying on a massage bed. This type of treatment uses firm and slow massage movement.



Just to let you know a therapist can combine 2 types of massage depending on what your needs and desires you want out of the massage. So it is always advised to have a talk with your therapist before booking in for a massage. As they will be able to recommend which treatment is best for you.
