Fall Back In Love With Your Skincare

The long winter months and lockdown can make you get out of the habit of looking after your skincare. So now it's time to start falling back in love with your skincare.

So let's start with the basics of skincare.

Cleanser

Cleanser is used to help remove dirty, make up and grime off your face. Make sure that you use the right cleanser if cream, lotion or gel you are using on your skin this needs to make it feel clean, soft and fresh. If your cleanser feels like pulling, makes your skin dry or dull it is not the right product. You need to look for a different cleanser or get advice from a beauty therapist.

Toner

Toner is used to help remove any excess oil from the face and Brighten the skin. If your toner is pulling and makes the skin feel tight. Please go and look for a different toner or get advice which toner will be the best for your skin.

Moisture

Moisture is used to feed the skin with nutrients and hydrations after cleanser and toner. We highly recommend you change your moisture product every 6 months. As you need more light and high SPF moisture in spring and summer months. You need more hydrated moisture with SPF in autumn and winter due to the change of environment having an effect on your skin. If your moisture is sitting on the skin or soaking straight in the skin its the wrong type of product for your skin.

These are the basics for your skincare needs to be used morning and night.

Now lets look at the different type of treatments that can be added to your basic skincare routine.

Exfoliating

Exfoliating helps remove dead skin cells and increase blood flow to create smooth skin and bright complexion. This product is used after you cleanse and tone. Please note you only need to exfoliate your skin once a week. Over exfoliate too much can cause damage to the skin, dryness, redness and excess oil.

Facial Mask

Facial mask is used to provide deep nourishment, hydrate, nutrients or rebalancing of skin. Facial mask is recommended to be used once a week.

Eye Cream

Eye cream has a lot more lighter texture to facial moisture due to working on thinner skin around the eyes. Eye cream is used to reduce wrinkles, smooth fine lines, reduce dark circles and puffiness around the eyes.

I hope this helps you fall back in love with your skincare routine.
